Hibachi Xpress Food Truck was born in 2011. Owner Ray Chow expanded his restaurant/catering business with the addition of a food truck to participate in different festivals and large gatherings. Initially, it was testing the waters of the hot food truck trend growing across the nation and expanding in the triangle area. Over the years, the popularity of the food truck continued to grow as more events were being attended and demand for the services increased. In 2014, the business shifted its focus towards the catering and food truck business and away from the brick and mortar stores.
I contacted Ray one day to see if Hibachi Xpress could come to our apartment complex last minute as the food truck scheduled for our event had to cancel because of mechanical problems. Unfortunately Hibachi Xpress was already booked...However, Ray reached out to help us find another food truck that came out that day...He helped save our event!
